After I installed Microsoft Office 2013, I got a SkyDrive Pro option in my right click menu. This SkyDrive Pro would be useful if I use sharepoint site. Sharepoint site is a program launched by Microsoft strictly for those big organisations out there with money to spare. As my myself, I wouldn’t be able to commit myself in this big spending programme so I guess it is wise to remove it from the right click menu. This post will guide you on how to remove menu option from your windows right click context menu.
Removing Sky Drive Pro
There’s no obvious way to disable this option in Office 2013’s interface. We will have to delete it from the Windows registry. To open the registry editor, press the Windows key to open the Start menu, type regedit into the search box in the Start menu, and press Enter.
Navigate to the following key in the registry editor’s left pane:
Expand the shell key and you’ll see a key named SPFS.ContextMenu. Right-click the SPFS.ContextMenu key and select Delete.
Voila, SkyDrive Pro option is removed from your right click context menu.
Clean UP your Messy Context Menu
If you tend to experience with multiple applications and they somehow affect your right click context menu thus you would want to remove them too then please continue to read this post.
To clean up the menu without using a software, we will have to continue our journey with regedit.exe
